Previously within last week, the FGN acted toward schools resumption after the five months plus strike. Going up and down media and social media handles that they want students back in their academics.
Meanwhile ASUU refused not to resume if Nigeria will not sign and accomplish at least one of their requests. As of last week the FGN promised to make it up to ASUU this Monday (two days ago), pleading with the body to resume work and sort things out the same Monday.
ASUU couldn't resist the assurance but insisted on getting at least one of their requests signed before work commence. While waiting, monday passed by with no word from the FGN till today. This turn on wrath of ASUU on the matter again which made then reacted that "FGN thought they are fools"
Stating this today on their twitter handle as usual to reach maximum audience in time;
Do they think we are stupid or bunch of idiots that can not process things properly? We have been on strike for close to six months and you have not been able to resolve just one of the issues and you want us to go back to classes? — ASUU chairperson, Minna. #ASUU
Looking at these words from ASUU it clearly indicates that federal government are yet to prepare for school resumption in Nigeria.
Meanwhile in other not to judge wrongly, we wait till the week run out to hear from the sudden silence.
