  • Vote for Indefinite Strike

  •

Classifying this topic today is still unknown. The way things are happening between ASUU and the FGN is really something else. Basically we are gonna take a few discussion about why Nigerian universities are still at home.

For the first time in a long time, we know that ASUU and FGN are still not in a common agreement. The body (ASUU) wanted FGN to reach and sign their agreement in order to stop the yearly ASUU strike in the universities. This year's version rise with not just a single problem but many. From on problem to another, one demand to another.

The body of ASUU is now standing on the payment of its workers' salaries for the period of the strike. Obviously the federal government of Nigeria are heading the opposite direction with "no work no pay". Cutting all stories short to not paying for the time without work (strike).

Of all the ongoing strike and demands, a hidden or not clearly stated election is going on within the ASUU as a body. Today it was stated on media that "Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), in Anambra State, today, voted for a total and indefinite strike.

With this clear short sentence, resolving the issue will be a little bit harder and higher for the FGN to handle. We all wait and hope for the next move while hustling and praying.
