The Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, has reaffirmed his determination towards reviving Agricultural Services and Training Centre (ASTC) in his state (Plateau) .
In his approach, this governor who began matching his campaign words with action, embarked on a tour round one of the ASTC facility located at Vom, Jos South Local Government Areas, vowed to revive the centre in order to burst to agricultural status of the State.
He expressed disappointment with the current state of the facilities but gave citizens hope saying, “Seeing how the company has been underutilized over the years, I am determined to revive the Centre and make it more efficient for the benefits of the people
According to Mutfwang, “ASTC will not die, we will turn around the company to serve the purpose for which it was established”.
Led round the company, by the ASTC Managing Director, Suzan Bentu , Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, promised injecting more life into the centre to enable it deliver the required agricultural services and training to the people, which to him, will maximize the huge potentials of the state in the agricultural sector.
Recalled, Mutfwang had during campaigns, promised to revamp the Agricultural Services Training Center (ASTC) and Plateau Agricultural Development Programme (PADP) to create self sustaining agricultural growth in Plateau state.
