As the headline stated, WhatsApp will stop supporting older Android smartphones with Android OS version 4.1 or older. After support ends, users will not receive future app updates and will soon be unable to use the instant messaging app on their smartphones.

In their recent announcement, they stated that it will end support for smartphones running on Android OS version 4.1 and older after October 24.
