The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has officially released the results of the 2025 NBC/NTC June/July examinations, showing a significant improvement in performance and candidate enrolment compared to previous years.

Increased Enrolment in 2025 NBC/NTC Exams
A total of 92,875 candidates sat for the exams across 1,892 centres nationwide, marking a 37.08% rise in enrolment compared to 2024. The number of accredited centres also increased by 10.77%, reflecting the growing demand for technical and business education in Nigeria.
Strong Performance in Core Subjects
Out of 89,621 candidates whose results were released:
61,104 candidates (68.18%) obtained five credits and above including English Language and Mathematics.
74,633 candidates (83.28%) secured five credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics.
In subject-specific performance:
Mathematics pass rate stood at 94.60%, higher than in 2024.
English Language pass rate was 93.10%, slightly lower than the previous year.

The examinations covered a wide range of technical and business fields, including:
16 Engineering Trades
7 Construction Trades
9 Miscellaneous Trades
4 Business Trades
16 General Education Subjects

Examination Malpractice: Slight Decline
NABTEB recorded 435 candidates involved in 516 cases of examination malpractice in 2025, compared to 349 candidates in 524 cases in 2024. This indicates a slight reduction in malpractice cases despite higher enrolment.
Registration for November/December Exams
The examination body also announced the commencement of registration for the 2025 November/December NBC/NTC and ANBC/ANTC examinations. Interested candidates are encouraged to register online via the NABTEB portal or through the board’s zonal and state offices.
