Is another trending news from China, as they recently installed the world's most powerful wind turbine in the world's history, the MySE-16-260, which was connected to the grid on July 19. Developed by the China Three Gorges Corporation. The rated turbine generator gives out 16-megawatt and is expected to generate enough electricity to power 36,000 households annually.
Standing at an impressive height of 499 feet with three 404-foot blades, the turbine reaches approximately 900 feet at its apex, making it taller than the iconic 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.
This turbine is part of a larger wind farm located on Pingtan Island in the Taiwan Strait, an area known for its strong winds ideal for wind power generation. Despite being the most powerful at the moment, it may not hold the title for long, as GE is already working on an 18-megawatt turbine.
