Young Baker and Brother Kidnapped in Plateau Amid Rising Abductions

A disturbing case of abduction has rocked Dong community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, as kidnappers seized a young baker, Allwell Nelson, alongside her brother, Bright Benard.

Allwell, who was recently engaged and preparing for her wedding, remains in captivity while the abductors have demanded a staggering ₦50 million ransom.

The incident has sparked widespread concern on social media, with Grand Duke raising alarm on X (formerly Twitter). He condemned the rising wave of kidnappings across Jos North and Bassa, noting that the neighboring Agingi community also suffered an attack just a day earlier.

According to him, Dong has now become “a danger zone within the city,” as attacks are turning into a near-daily occurrence.

Residents are increasingly worried that Dong, Agingi, and other communities in Bassa and Jos North are fast becoming hotbeds for terrorist and criminal activities.
